As our team continues to grow in diversity, so does the colorful mix of traditions and celebrations that shape Haskell’s workplace. In the spirit of inclusion and understanding, we’re sharing a list of upcoming religious and cultural holidays taking place over the next few months. These observances are opportunities to recognize and honor the values, customs and practices important to our team members.

Shavuot | June 1 - June 3, 2025

A Jewish holiday marking the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. It is also a harvest festival that celebrates the end of the barley harvest.

Ascension of Jesus | June 4, 2025

Celebrates the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, which is observed by many Christian denominations 40 days after Easter.

Eid al-Adha | June 15 - 16, 2025

One of the two major Islamic festivals, known as the "Festival of Sacrifice." It commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.

Summer Solstice | June 21, 2025

The longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, often observed by different cultures as a celebration of the sun, nature, and renewal.

Day of Ashura/Muharram | July 5, 2025

A significant day in Islam; for Sunni Muslims, it commemorates the day Moses and the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh, while for Shia Muslims, it marks the martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali at the Battle of Karbala.

Pioneer Day | July 24, 2025

Celebrated by members of the JCLDS community, Pioneer Day Commemorates the arrival of the first Mormon pioneers in Utah.
